Have you ever heard the saying that an entrepreneur is someone who jumps out of a plane and figures out how to work the parachute on the way down? Well, making the move away from hourly billing felt a lot like that for me. There was no instruction manual or established system like AltFee to tell us how to do it. We just had to figure it out, navigate the challenges, and learn as we went.

Challenging the status quo (in a thoughtful way) can be invigorating. It requires continuous learning and a willingness to embrace change. While the legal industry is very traditional, and daring to innovate can be rare, I feel that there is nothing better than testing the boundaries of the way everyone else is doing things. This is especially true today, when the world is moving at warp speed with advancements in technology and AI. I believe that to prosper in this rapidly evolving landscape requires a passion for change.

For me, entrepreneurship is fueled by a thirst to learn and a deep-rooted desire to make things better. It's about taking action, learning from the outcomes, recalibrating, and then repeating the process—all while staying true to your vision and values.

For those of you with latent entrepreneurial spirit stirring within you, I encourage you to take the leap. Whether it's challenging industry norms or pursuing your own venture, the journey is hugely rewarding. Remember, success isn't just about financial gain; it's about making a meaningful impact. I hope that by sharing my journey through these articles, you are encouraged to take bold steps towards embracing change, pursuing your passions, and forging your own path towards success.

Good luck on your entrepreneurial journey!
