Patricia is a general corporate commercial lawyer, assisting clients with all aspects of their business. Patricia brings her business experience to the practice, having acted for some years as in-house counsel for mid-sized private companies, operating in the retail and financial service sectors. One of Patricia’s true strengths is her ability to work with a client’s financial advisors and integrate business and law in a way that best meets the client’s needs.

Patricia’s practice has focused on commercial real estate and M&A transactions for mid-sized private companies.

  • In her general practice, Patricia assists clients with various business matters including

    • Financing the company

    • Intellectual property ownership and licensing

    • Drafting contracts with the customers, partners and shareholders

    • Non-solicitation and non-competition matters

    • Resolving commercial and corporate disputes 

    Patricia acted as counsel to the borrower, a national company, in securing various credit facilities for a $30M financing. 


  • In her commercial real estate practice, Patricia assists clients, in collaboration with their agents and accountants, on property purchase and sale transactions and commercial leasing transactions.  Patricia also assists commercial tenants in exercising lease options, re-negotiating lease terms and surrendering leases.

    On the residential/commercial front, Patricia is available to assist homeowners who are considering developing “missing middle” housing. 

    Some of Patricia’s representative work includes acting as leasing counsel to a national landlord redeveloping its property, acting as counsel to a national franchisor on all commercial leasing transactions, and acting as leasing counsel to various large retail tenants.


  • In her M&A practice, Patricia assists clients and works closely with their M&A consultants and accountants, at all stages of the share purchase transaction, including letters of intent, non-disclosure agreements, corporate restructuring, purchase and sale agreements and closings.

    Some of Patricia’s representative work includes acting as counsel to the vendor of a product manufacturing and retail business to a Canadian purchaser for $18.5M, acting as counsel to the vendor of IT to a US purchaser for USD$14.7M, acting as counsel to the vendor of an IT business to a US purchaser for $7.4M, and acting as counsel to the vendor of a product manufacturing business to a US purchaser for $2.4M.


Patricia and her family are long-time residents of West Vancouver and enjoy golf and tennis.
